On March 10, the White House hosted a conference on preventing bullying. President Obama, the Department of Education, and the Department of Health and Human Services welcomed students, parents and educators to the conference to discuss ways to make schools safer for all students. |

What Is Happening Here?
Here in the Hudson Valley, we are countering bullying in a number of ways. The LGBTQ Center hosts the monthly Safe Schools Round Table. We have also teamed up with the local GLSEN chapter to take the Talking it Out program into several High Schools, including Kingston and Wallkill. These are just a few of the projects we have going to help create a safe environment for our LGBT youth.
