Our 2010 Gala is set for Saturday, March 13, 6 pm at the Grandview on the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie.
The Gala Committee and the Center's Board of Directors hope you will join us in celebration and support of the Center, an idea whose time has come, whose time is now - and whose vision belongs to all of us.
We are delighted that Senator Tom Duane, the lead sponsor of New York state's marriage equality bill, will be the keynote speaker. We will present several awards to outstanding individuals as we celebrate the fifth anniversary of the founding of the Center.
Tickets are still available at $125 each. Cocktails and silent auction begin at 6 pm, followed by dinner, dancing and awards. Student tickets are $75 with valid student ID. Click here to order tickets.
Our annual Valentine's Day event has become a really fun and worthwhile evening. Everyone had a great time and the Center collected a phenomenal amount of canned food and items for Angel Food East, Family of Woodstock, and The Queen's Galley. Volunteers like Board members Lance Ringel, Bonnie Wagner and Fred Mayo, plus Rick Foster, Larry Decker, and event coordinator Retts Scauzillo made the evening a hugh success.

DJ John Martin of Superior Sound played music for everyone's taste (from Motown and Elvis to Lady Ga Ga. We all boogied to some of the disco era's biggest and best dance favorites.
The Hudson Valley LGBTQ Center’s annual Gala has become, like the Center itself, an important and integral part of our region. The 2010 Gala, which will take place on Saturday, March 13, at the Grandview in Poughkeepsie, will celebrate the remarkable progress the Center has made in the five years since a determined group first met to outline the dream of a community center for the LGBTQ citizens of the Mid-Hudson Valley. We hope you will join us in that celebration by expressing your congratulations in the Gala’s program journal. Click here for details and rates.
We often get requests for recommendations about health care providers. We have been working over the last two years to gather information about LGBTQ affirming health care providers. Our members recommended the providers in our directory. We then sent each of them a questionnaire about their practice. We have listed only those providers who returned the questionnaire and indicated that they wished to be listed. We hope you will find this to be a valuable resource. Click here to access the list.
